Welcome to our Animal Human Therapy Website! Therapy Animals are animals that are used to assist the physically and mentally disabled. Therapy Animals are NOT the same as Service Animals. Therapy animals are not legally defined by federal law. They are usually the personal pets of their handlers, not the people the service is provided to. Service Animals are defined by federal law, and are allowed to ride with their owners in city buses, taxis, and trains and enter schools, businesses, and eating facilities.
We created this website to inform you about the way that dogs, dolphins, and horses are used in therapy. To view each of our pages, you can click on the pictures above to follow the links. For a list of related sites, see our bibliographies for a list of sources.
